Ripe was Stockport College’s 2013 BA (Hons) Design & Visual Arts end of year degree show. As part of a small team, I was tasked with branding, organising and promoting the show.
We opted for a simplistic, somewhat rustic feel to the overall brand, especially with regards to the colour scheme where we kept all colours as ‘natural’ as possible, but utilised a fresh, vibrant red as an accent colour.
Given the fruit-theme of the show, a fruit salad served as the perfect medium for the invites. Details of the show were printed onto bands, which were then hand-stamped with the Ripe logo and slipped around the tubs.
The invites were eventually transported around Manchester to a variety of creative studios in fruit crates laser-engraved with the Ripe logo. We also left riso-printed flyers on Oatmeal stock around various locations in Manchester.
Social media interactions from some of the top agencies in Manchester thanks to the invites helped to drum up interest in the show.
Signage directing attendees to the show consisted of a hand-made, hand-painted sandwich-board, which also served to attract the attention of passersby.
